• Specialized Center Grants (P50)

  NIDA provides support for research center grants to provide a unique environment and to foster a synergistic approach to research on drug abuse and addiction. The goal of the center grant program is to encourage the application of multiple scientific perspectives and approaches to address the problems of drug abuse and addiction and to foster inter- and multi-disciplinary collaboration and coordination. Specialized Center Grants (P50) provide support for core(s) and innovative, state-of-the-art related research projects. The activities included in the supported research must be thematically integrated, demonstrate a multi-disciplinary perspective, synergy in research approach, and each individual research project must be inherently tied with the other projects and the core.
