Governance Structure

While NIDA is a resource of scientific and other expertise and provides administrative oversight of the CTN, it does not assume a dominant role in its direction or activities. That role is carried out by the CTN’s Steering Committee; a group comprised primarily by representatives from each of the Nodes. This framework allows the CTN to be national in scope but anchored on community-level programs -- ultimately accelerating both the pace of treatment research and its application in real-life treatment settings.
