The following is a list of agencies that address drug abuse-related issues. These services distribute publications, provide referrals, and answer questions. Some offer toll-free numbers, mailing and Internet addresses, foreign language-specific lines, and fax numbers. Funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Workplace Helpline is designed for decisionmakers in business, union organizations, and community-based, anti-drug groups. Consultation is provided regarding policy development, supervisor training, employee education, employee assistance programs, and drug testing. Operator assistance is available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Confidential messages may be left at other times.
