Brain Power! The NIDA Junior Scientist Program: Grades K-1



Meet the Scientists (Module 2)

Materials

  • Videotape and VCR
  • Markers
  • Poster board
  • Paper and pencils
  • Resume form

Preparation

1. Preview the videotape so that you are familiar with the scientists.

2. Write the steps of scientific inquiry (Observe, Predict, Experiment, and Conclude) on pieces of poster board in preparation for the discussion on the work of the scientists showcased in the video.

3. Make copies of the black-and-white trading cards found at the back of the Module 2 Teacher’s Guide so that each student has a copy of each card.
